Transformer!!

Went to MOM today to meet my supervisor for weekly update..
well, i guess i need to buck up..
my quota is behind schedule and i think they need it to be done asap..
anyway, when she went to zap some forms, the supervisor who supervises my supervisor asked me to go for a chit chatting session.
apparently, it was some random questions about the job and stuffs like that...
however, the chat somehow progressed into something that was very interesting for me and i think to some of you who are reading..

The Buddhist Library is organising a humanitarian relief work at Mynamar at the end of this year from 15 to 30 December.
They require 20 volunteers, from the age of 21 to 35, to go for this voluntary work.
However, this trip costs $900++.
BUT!!!
they are now trying to get fundings to subsidies the expenditure.
Apparently, i heard from her that it may be as low as $400++ per person.
for a good cost, $400++ is alright, right?!
i think it is something worth trying and experiencing.
it is not an everyday event that we can go to.
I know, many people might treat it as an vacation trip to another country, but with a good cost, aint it better??
anyway, this trip will be buddhist-based.
meaning to say...
there might be some forms of rituals that they will do when in Mynamar which applies in buddhist's context *not though Taoist rituals btw... very different ok..*
for example,
1) bowing to the monks when we see them
2) maybe chant some sutras
3) maybe go to temple for prayers etc
for those who dont mind, you are more than welcome to join in this event.
but for those who do mind, then i guess you guys have to check out for other similar events that excludes such forms of rituals..

anyway,
non-buddhists are also welcome *durh..*

there will be a briefing this Saturday(07072007) from 2 to 4 pm at the Buddhist Library at Aljunied.
i will be going because...
I WANT TO GO AND EXPERIENCE SOMETHING THAT I WILL NEVER WILL..

apparently, my parents were not supportive of my decision to go on this field trip.
it is not that they think it is bad, but they believe that i dont have to go to such a far and dangerous place to do voluntary work. There are many people in Singapore who needs help too.
Point noted!
but doing voluntary work overseas is something that doesnt come by every now and then. Voluntary work in Singapore can be done anytime!
Just do to some organisation and tell them that you wan to be a volunteer, they are more than happy to accept you.

Overseas humanitarian efforts dont come everyday.
It comes like opportunities.
If you dont catch it now, you never will know when you can the next flight.

anyway, i quarrelled with them regarding this issue.. i just cant believe that they dont allow me to go!

i guess i will have to convince them that i want to go even in the name of touring/playing.

argh!
this is killing me..

alright..enough about that..
i went to watch Transformer with Vanessa today..
guess what??!!
it was ...
1) EXCITING
2) ENGAGING
3) ENTERTAINING
4) EXORDINARY
5) ELECTRIFYING
6) EXHILARATING
7) ENTHRALLING
8) ENGROSSING
9) ENRAPTURING *meaning: delight beyong measure*
10 ) TOTALLY... WORTH THE BILLS!!!

my goodness...
the show was jam-packed with actions that had never existed in human's pink box...
every single second was a prelude to something more exciting, more awe-inspiring...
the story plot was simple.. far more simpler than you think..
but the actions, the animation or rather, was STUPENDOUS!!
it looked so real and convincing that at the point of watching that movie, you might think to yourself...
my good....ness...
IS THIS FOR REAL?!
it has been a long time since i have watched such a FANTASTIC and AWESOME show..
like what the movie critic, Tay Yek Keak, who writes for the Straits Times( Life section ) said..

" The movie in which the garbage fights back blows away the rest of the summer garbage showing now"

you guys should go and watch this show..
totally worth you time and money...
*the show is around 2 hours and 20 mins... super worth money...btw..rmb to wee-wee before watching the show.. you wouldnt want to miss a single second!!*

when the cars transform into their original form, they looked drop-dead...GOREGOUS..
though they were machines, but they looked SOOOOOO cool!!!

ah,...
if my Lamborghini can turn into something like them and talk to me...
I WILL BE SUPER OVER THE MOON!!!
*i dont have a Lamborghini yet... but i will get it when i becomes rich ok!!*

hero+righteous+cool== my idol!!

anyway...
enough for you guys to go catch the movie??!!
i might be watching it again..
tomorrow night probably...
anyway!!!

that's all for now...

PS: the writer is very witty and humorous.. you guys should read his reports in life... really hilarious and thoughful...
His article will be on Strait's time every monday and sometime on Sunday i think..
watch out for his merciless words...
