reflection on Beauty and the Geek

just yesterday, i watched Beauty and the Geek on channel 5 and i realised that it was a lame show. however, beneathe lame-ness, there were many issues that i find worth mentioning. Some of the issues may seem small and minor, but i find them mind boggling and incogitable.

1) the guys were given a challenge on drawing this nude female model name Sophia who ranted on and on and on about her life and things she does daily. At the very start, even before she takes her robe off, she introduced herself as...

" Hi! my name is Sophia."(is it that hard to remember??)

the guys replied, " Hi, SOPHIA.."

they replied hi sophia!! however, when the host asked the boys what was the model's name, out of 9(i think..) only 4 got it correct!!

is it that hard to remember such a common and easy name??

anyway, moving on..

2) the host asked the second qns, " what was the show Sophia watched last night?"

my goodness.. only one out of the remaining 4 got the correct ans..

this model stated that she watched Pretty Woman the night before and apparently, the guys were too absorbed into looking at her big assets and drawing, hence, forgetting the most important thing that a woman would want the guy to have!!

A LISTENING EAR...

BY THE WAY...

the model stated whatever she had watched the night before at the very start of the event. The guys shut off their listening ear RIGHT FROM THE START!!

i CANT believe that it actually happened!!

are all men out there turning a deaf ear to whatever women have to say??!! i know that we do not earn as much as you do even for the same job scope and work load and same boss and same qualification, but!! cant all of you men out there just listen to what WE have to say before making silly comments like," oh.. women are gossipy." ARENT YOU??!!

anyway..just kicking up a fuss here..

moving on..

3) for this reality tv show, couples have to compete for the chance to eliminate other teams. apparently, this blondie and her partner Mario(the guy who listens and won the male challenge..) won both challenges separately. They had the authority to choose 2 teams to be sent for the elimination round.

GUESS WHAT?? that freaking blondie didnt dare to choose teams from her own click eventhough they do not DESERVE a place in the game!!

OH MY!! this was so OLD SCHOOL!! trying to suck up so that better impression would be in place?? C'MON!! Superficility and ignorant had blinded people from making accurate and not one-dimensional decisions and judgement. If you want to be obsequious, then bootlick those who are worthy of being bootlicked!

Bootlick on what is righteous and decorous eventhough if may hurt. Only in that way, your heart can be in peace. When your heart is in peace, you are cleared from all evils around that may provoke you into doing something that makes you feel GUILTY and CONSCIENCE-STRICKEN.

but the best of all.. DONT TAKE SIDES. just do whatever you think is right.

anyhow...

before i bore you with more words, here's my fav team. a not so dumb-girl and a geeky and cut guy!! of all teams, they showed the most potential as a winner. but, reality is harsh. it doesnt care..

4) i went online yesterday to check for the portfolios of the contestants in Beauty and the Geek and want to guess what i had found out??!!

ALL THE GIRLS ARE EITHER IN A UNIVERSITY IN THE STATES, IF NOT, THEY ALREADY HAVE A DEGREE AT LEAST!!

can you believe what i have just typed??!! i couldnt concur to it. Even at university level, they are still doing stupid things that are considered hard to comprehend to.

A) limited or no general knowledge

B) they are bimbos

C) they do not care about others. They are self-centred.

what does this say??

ya.. nothing much, just saying the girls even at university level are DUMB.

IN ADDITION.. it was written in the website, under show info." pairing eight gorgeous but academically impaired women with eight brilliant but socially challenged men to test intellect and social skills - for a chance to win a $250,000 grand prize."

university undergrads are academically impaired??!! I CANT BELIEVE MY EYES!!

Fortunately, this took place in the States. i would really take my hat of anyone who cant even count simple maths summation such as 25+30+10=?? without using calculator or even simple question such as who is the President of United States.

it may be unfair to assume that people who are in university must have general knowledge or must know certain things. However, i find it horrendously ridiculous and mocking to know that an undergrad or grad is making a fool of themselves in front of a camera through all the silly and asinine comments and actions.

anyway!!

i think they should do another similar show called Handsome and the Geek, female version.

they should mock the males too.. girls are not culprits of idiosyncrasy. dont single the female sex as the weaker link. Males at times can be ..ermm.. DUMB too..

ya..

watch the show and laugh your hearts out. Laugh at how moronic and numskulled people can be. Laugh at how females teased the males with ludicrous actions. Laugh at how insensitive a learnt male can be. Laugh at how people make a fool of themselves in from if the tube.Laugh at how technology had made us fools of fools.
